In 1965 the first meeting was held at Donald & Pat Johnson's house to discuss the possibility of a new community library for the Cullom area. After many meetings over the years, the Cullom Memorial Library was established 02/02/1984 in the southeast corner of the community building. On 04/01/1991 the library was moved to the current location on Hack Street, which was donated by Dr. Arnold Beckman and his wife. In 2003, after another generous donation by Dr. Arnold Beckman, a Cullom native, the new addition was added to the back of the library. Both Dr. and Mrs. Beckman are now deceased but his daughter, Pat, still keeps in touch with the library and its board.
